Yasuko, a Japanese designer, began her career and passion for
artistic creations in Sapporo Japan. There she attended Hokusei
Women's College, focusing her attentions on the study of fashion
design. This launched her career with a Japanese apparel company
and soon after, she followed her passion to New York where she then
studied fashion design at the Fashion Institute of Technology. A
life long fascination with the inherent beauty and power of
gemstones led her to dedicate herself to the craft of jewelry
making. Her hand pierced romantic designs are inspired by the
beauty of nature. Often utilizing techniques of Japanese metal
workmanship to achieve the unique finishes on her collection,
nature is the key inspiration beneath her designs.
